22 Feb My 3 Favorite Knots on a Bike Tour (Video)
Growing up, I did not have the opportunity to be part of the Boy Scouts or any organization where they teach you hands-on survival skills in the wilderness. I had to learn most of my skills when I was an adult going camping, back packing, or bike touring. One of the skills I did learn was to tie 3 of my favorite knots that I have been using on my bike tours: Bowline, Taut-Line Hitch, and Constrictor knots.
All have useful applications on and off the road. I am sure there are many other knots that you can think of but these 3 are my go-to. Master them and you’ll be able to hang your food, hang your clothes, secure loose parts without zip ties, and many other useful applications.
