31 Oct 2013 National Bicycle Tourism Conference
On November 6 – 9, I will be traveling to Coralville, Iowa to attend the National Bicycle Tourism Conference. This will be my first bicycle related conference so I am very excited! The conference is split into 2 tracks: Cycling Events & Bicycle Tourism. Obviously I’ll be at the bicycle tourism track. The event promises to have speakers, special guests, and industry celebrities. The last part I am very curious. I wonder who would qualify as an industry celebrity? I do know that one of my favorite bicycle touring blogs, The Path Less Pedaled, Russ & Laura will be there as speakers on November 7th and 8th. I’m hoping to at least introduce myself as I’ve been following them for years but haven’t reached out or meet them in person. We have mutual friends but I never had the chance to get to meet them in person so this would be a great opportunity. Possible cross blogging opportunity? We will see.
There will also be folks from Adventure Cycling Association and people from all over the country talking about my favorite subject. I’m looking forward to learning a great deal about the industry and hope to make a few contacts. Perhaps looking to find a mentor or someone who can help guide me through my own bicycle touring adventures.
If you’re here to connect with me at this conference either use the Contact Us page above or tweet me!
