08 Oct Bicycle Typogram by Aaron Kuehn
It is rare that you find a marriage of art and functionality done so well and so simple. Aaron Kuehn, a fellow Angeleno, has captured this in the typogram above of one of my favorite thing in the world. This image was ingrained in my head when I cracked open the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition‘s Bicycle Resource Guide last year when I first became a member of the LACBC. Not only does the picture looks like a cool road bicycle but he’s used the names of the parts to spell out or draw out the image. I use this image quite a few times as a reminder on how to call my bicycle parts.
This post isn’t bicycle touring related but this is still very cool and I hope you learn a few things about what things are called on a bicycle in general. Aaron has other typograms on his site website. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.
Be sure to visit his site and check out his shop to pick up something. I have my eye on this limited edition poster. By-the-way, Milestone Rides does not have any affiliation with Aaron Kuehn or receive any financial compensation from Aaron. I am just a fan of his art. I hope to meet him one of these days.
