Interview: Portlan Beckman (Video)

I am kicking off an interview series called, “Everyday Bike Tourists”, where I interview everyday people who decided to get out there and bike tour. My first interview is with Portlan Beckman, a special education teacher who resides in San Diego. We crossed paths during our Pacific Coast bike tour in 2014 near Florence, Oregon. We ended up spending our entire time riding down the coast until we reached our destination in San Francisco and he kept traveling home to San Diego.

Portlan is one of those guys that can express himself in very fine detail with his intricate vocabulary. His trip down the coast was a spur of the moment event where he had little time to prepare and dived right into it without much complaints. Hear what he has to say in the video below! Portlan proves that you don’t need that much to get yourself going.
