Vlog 18: 2013 S&S Coupled Salsa Vaya 3

Vlog 18

Here’s a video of me disassembling my 2013 Salsa Vaya 3 and then try to reassemble it again. It took me 42 minutes to pull it apart and 48 minutes to put it all back together (See images below). Don’t worry, the video is under 5 minutes. I time lapsed the actually work so you didn’t have to sit and watch me turn bolts and screws.

Johnny! Amazing way to REALLY get to know how your bike is put together! A long time since I’ve packed a bike for shipping and I admire you for taking it right down to bare bones. I used to turn the handlebars, remove pedals, deflate tires, and pop it into a box. The one time I shipped it in a plastic bag without boxing was the time I witnessed an airport worker riding it, tires deflated, across the tarmac at Heathrow! Years ago now but still a vivid memory!

@Jude – Thanks! I had a good visual of them riding your bike on the tarmac. Funny now but probably pretty traumatic at the time to watch. 🙂 Hopefully nothing was damaged in the process.
